Helena won the BBC Young Chorister of the Year Competition 2014 and went on to be a founding member of Truro Cathedral’s Girl Choristers. Her carol ‘While Mary Slept’ was commissioned by Truro Cathedral in 2020 for its festival of Nine Lessons and Carols. This work has just been published by Stainer and Bell in the Advent to Candlemas volume of The Anthology of Choral Music by Women Composers. Helena was also commissioned to write a carol for the Vasari Singers to be premiered in a broadcast Christmas concert in December 2020.

In October 2020 Helena was featured as part of BBC Radio 3’s 31 under 31 series highlighting the work of upcoming musicians.
