Derri has a deep passion for vocal music across a variety of languages; in 2021 his duet ‘A Moment’ will be featured on Helen Charlston’s ‘Isolation Songbook’ CD released by Delphian Records. Derri is the 2020 recipient of the Welsh Music Guild’s ‘Paul Mealor Bursary’ which includes the commission of a new vocal work, his song cycle ‘3 o Englynion y Misoedd’ (3 Calendar Songs). Derri was included in the Corvus Consort’s charity fundraising series ‘Twelve Composers Composing’ in support of the Crisis Christmas Appeal.

Recent projects involve a new work for guitarist Tom McKinney in partnership with Psappha, and a series of socially distant pieces for the Aldworth Philharmonic Orchestra.
